Boat House

The boat house started its life as a simple brief for a large boat shed but evolved into an exciting abstraction of a wave rolling into the shore.  The front of the shed was fractured to reduce its industrial face to the street; instead, the boat shed is now an interesting & functional folly celebrating life at the beach.

The Boat House was awarded the "Buildings- Small Projects" Award at the  2016 Australian Steel Institute Queensland State Awards.
